First and foremost, how about the MLB playoffs? A Yankees-Dodgers World Series would be a ratings boon!

It’s Episode 43 — the Dennis Eckersley (or Raul Mondesi) edition — of Foul Territory: A Baseball Podcast, one of the first episodes under an hour in months! After talking travel and our weekly white supremacy convo, Jed Rigney and Jon Sumple dive into the MLB playoffs. Dodgers are dominating, thanks to some questionable moves by Joe Maddon, and the Yankees bounce back to even the ALCS at 2-2. Greg Holland opts for free agency (big payday coming) and Mike Napoli gets released, not to mention former porn star Mia Khalifa getting tossed(!) from a Dodgers game for punching a fan, a Cubs fan suing the team after a foul ball left him partially blind, teams rallying behind a young fan who lost all his memorabilia in the Norther California fires, and good ol’ Uncle Dan’s (who the eff is Uncle Dan?) announcing a deal with MLB.

This week’s Starting Nine provides a bookend to last week’s take on New York neighborhoods with L.A. neighborhood names. Episode wraps with Extra Innings and a look at the University of North Carolina being cleared of academic violations, Aaron Rodgers’ broken collarbone and the Columbus Crew’s threat to leave Columbus (is anyone listening?)
