Chicago Cubs Home Opener Postponed by Snow
MLB to Mother Nature: It’s our turn now.
Mother Nature’s reply: Not yet.
It’s been quite an opening week in Major League Baseball. The walk-off finishes and the emergence of Shohei Ohtani were great, but the real story from Coors Field to Yankee Stadium, and many points in between, was the weather.
And today it’s Wrigley Field’s turn. There’s snow on the ground on a day that seamheads like me have looked forward to for months. The home opener for the Chicago Cubs has been postponed until tomorrow.
To paraphrase a line from Bull Durham, “Some days you win, some days you lose, and some days… it snows.”
But at least the season’s underway, right?
Jed and Jon discuss the weather on this episode of The Foul Territory Podcast.
