This Week in Baseball

Strange Brew...

Yasiel Puig and Cody Bellinger hit home runs while five pitchers combined for 14 strike outs for the Los Angeles Dodgers to finish off the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS and return to the World Series. The Brewers had a great season and with the NL's best record they earned the right to have all their dreams shatter into a million pieces on their home field.

Houston Had a Problem...

David Price put his postseason troubles behind him, pitching the Boston Red Sox back into another World Series with a victory over the defending champions Houston Astros. The Astros will head into the off-season looking to evaluate where things might have gone wrong and what possible new ways they can cheat next year. Allegedly.

What's Your Vector, Victor...

Cuban outfield prospect Victor Victor Mesa and his brother Victor Mesa Jr. are expected to sign with the Miami Marlins. The move is a big step to overhauling the struggling franchise that been in disarray for years. Now all they need is to get some fans.

Getting Testy...

Angels are making their managerial candidates take a two-hour test during interviews this month. It spans multiple aspects of a modern manager's job: in-game decisions, analytical information and relationships with players and front-office officials. But the most important question is why the hell did we sign Albert Pujols?

Brave Choice...

The Braves announced that they've agreed to a two-year extension with manager Brian Snitker that includes an option for the 2021 season. This year the Braves surprised everyone by winning the NL East with its impressive core of young players. If Snitker wants to get another extension, all he has to do is continue to have sudden influxes of unprecedented talent.
